How do you get cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity?
To be cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI answer engines you need three things: a crawlable page that GPTBot and PerplexityBot can fetch, a clear direct answer within the first paragraph, and entity signals (schema, author, organization) that let the model trust and attribute your source.

Allow the crawlers
Explicitly allow GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, and Google-Extended in robots.txt. Blocking them removes you from the citation pool entirely.
Answer first, expand later
Lead every page with a 40-80 word answer that would make sense quoted on its own. Use the exact question wording as an H1 or H2 above it.
Publish machine-readable proof
Serve /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt so LLMs can ingest your canonical corpus. Add Organization and Person schema so the model links quotes to a real entity.
