Internet Monkeez was born as a WordPress shop. We built sites, tuned page speed, and wrote content that ranked. It worked — for the old web.
Then GPT-4 shipped. Then Perplexity. Then Google AI Overviews. Suddenly the highest- intent question a user could ask wasn't happening on a search results page — it was happening in a conversation. And WordPress sites, built for spiders in 2015, were invisible in that conversation.
We rebuilt. We swapped WordPress for AI-generated React sites. We learned schema, entity graphs, speakable markup. We started tracking not just Google rankings, but how often each of our clients gets cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude.
